Glorietta
Commissioned by the Breckenridge International Arts Festival, The Glorietta is a site-specific environmental work that exposes man’s influence on the environment. 264- 18’ dead lodgepole pine trees were inverted in an existing conical crater that is a relic of the gold mining age. The landscape is brutally pocked with these blast sites to this day, evidence of greed super ceding the value of the nature.
Is it still up there ? May be in Breck 5/6 & 5/7. If still there (?) then I’ll take my hiking shoes this time since it is snowing there right now !
We need to have lunch at Mother’s after I get back or something. Been too long.
thx
